About Reelwell

Reelwell was established to develop and provide the Reelwell Drilling Method (RDM). RDM originates from R&D on coiled tubing drilling performed by the founder Dr. Ola M. Vestavik. Reelwells vision is "drilling beyond boundaries". Reelwell offers a specialist service adding value beyond conventional drilling. The head office is located in Stavanger, Norway, with regional office in Calgary, Canada.

2004:
- Reelwell founded

2004-2007:
- Developing equipment and verifying main principles.*

2008:
- RDM validation tested
- RDM shortlisted for the ONS (Offshore Northern Seas) 2008 innovation award

2009:
- RDM successfully used for drilling an onshore well
- RDM receives OTC (Off shore Technology Conference) Spotlight On New Technology Award

2010:
- Entering the operational phase through commercial wells with Shell Canada
- Expanding and opening a branch office in Calgary, Canada
- Reelwell Telemetry System (RTS) receives OTC Spotlight Award
- Investment agreement with Lime Rock Partners
